Yes, it would seem dangerous not to do so. What are they thinking?
Scott, They cover themselves at drivers briefing when they ask if any drivers are colour blind. The response then back to the drivers "so no one will have a problem to differentiate between black and green like the V8 Supercar drivers have a problem at last testing". Yepp that was at our drivers briefing.
Better than not having white lines are the grey/black colour witchs hats used to detour the racing between the different track layout......that was the reason why there was a crash in our last race up there in the dusk.
Even better than that, the detours go through sections that have never been sweaped of gravel from the track resurface.
In my opinion its not that we're relaxed up here it's more so the officials need to think more about catering for Superkarters needs, you can get away with it when your in a car but in a kart being so low it's a big issue and they need to be told that.
Maybe the QLD Superkart should communicate this stuff to the promotor for their club events.
Oh Ant, I forgot the other beauty. Are we going to use flags or lights.......no both :D :D :D :D :D and then you need to know the unique QLD special flag codes/meanings which are completely different to the National, no World racing flag standards. I couldn't believe that Clerk of Course said that his flag codes/meanings are much better than what the rest of the world uses.....and for those not in the know....they were completely different, eg you can race and pass under yellow.
Can I say this without offending.........seriously, what a toss!

Was there green there at the last meeting? That's an improvment from when I was there (if there's been 1 since) coz all I saw was dirt next to and on the track.
Grey/black witches hats? Perhaps so they show up in the bright sunlight. Don't think I've ever seen a track without white lines apart from there.
TV at this round is there? I heard the tv sponsor insisted that we ran in Qld before he signed the deal this year. Perhaps I'm incorrect but I remember exactly who told me, when and where.
Anyway, lets race, see yas all there. Can't wait for the non stick carpet on the coast!!
Scott for a track to have a CAMS track licence it is supposed to have white lines marking the track edge. You would think that Queensland was a third world country that can't afford white paint, but nothing surprises me about Mr Teabags.

Re: QR
There was a V8 Supercar test there yesterday and white lines have not been painted yet.
I'd be surprised if they don't have them painted by the V8 round next weekend because it definetly needs to be done.

I was thinking the same thing the other day mate.

Who would have reckoned on the power of this website.
Well done to all.
;D
Re: QR
They must have known you were very concerned about it ;D
Re: QR
The others.
Did they paint the whole track or just the edges?
