Hi all,
Took my kart out to the hill climb track yesterday to run in a top end and then have some fun.
I was wondering why I had all of a sudden the engine was just running terrible. It would rev clean but just felt like it had no power. After realising the overflow bottle was full, causing the carb fuel bowl overflow tube and vent tubes to become submersed, I then drained it and happily the problem went away.
The question I have though, is what is happening to the fuel delivery through the carb when both the bowl overflow hose & vent tubes are submersed in the fuel in the overflow bottle? Lean or rich or both depending on which tube? Should I be lifting off the cylinder to have a look at the piston?
