Hi all,
We are still fairly new to karting (been in it now for about 14 months), and after buying a very basic (but
Reliable) inexpensive trailer to start our karting life off, we have now just upgraded to another
Near new second hand trailer that's only 18 months old and in great condition - the previous owner had both this trailer and a van to transport his karts, and has now decided to downsize and stick with his van. The trailer has been in storage for about two months and just needs a bit of clean down externally to get Some dust and a couple of small marks off it. The trailer is a standard go kart design, constructed from gal with that material (think its a combo of plastic/aluminium material that is white and shiny and all new trailers use it) for its panelling. What does everyone recommend to use to clean down their Trailer with?? I did some research on the Internet on what to use on the gal part of the trailer, basically from what I can see I could use something like car or Truck wash that has a Ph under 12 and applying it with a plastic brush and then cleaning the trailer down with clean water well afterwards. As I'm not sure what the panelling really is called, can everyone offer me some advise on what they use their Kart trailers when they need a good clean down after they get some road grime etc on it. The trailer is in excellent condition both inside and out, and I just want keep it in the same condition that the previous owner did. Any product advise would be great! Just don't want use something on the trailer by accident that will damage the surface of the gal or panelling in the long term. Happy karting everyone! And your advise is greatly appreciated.

ACM, Lucabond or diabond is a few of the names its called but material is basically a composite aluminum with a plastic core. Use a mild detergant to wash it down and you can use petroleum products (turps etc) to clean up the tar spots. Surface is just a very thin coating and it can scratch easily if your too hard on dirt/mud removal.

Many thanks for your advise
CT 18 will do exactly what you need
get it from autobahn or supercheap
its a green liquid that you apply diluted and can let dry .....its great stuff
It won't remove grease as its NOT a degreaser but will remove everything else.
They also do a CT14 for internals of boats, it a little stronger and removes some oils, I use it to wash the inside of our Super Air Nautique wake board boatÂ
