Hang the expense.
Want a trailer that you can tow and park at the track with pride.
Build it from the ground up, don't modify a 6 by 4 trailer into something that might be big enough.
4.8m floor length. 2.2. floor width. 1.9m internal clearance.

Re: Building a SUPER kart trailer.
Weld mesh lining on the frame (welded in after the floor is fitted) to protect the outer skin.

No rivets here either. No seams. Just smooth sides.

Re: Building a SUPER kart trailer.
Make sure there is enough gas pressure in the rear struts and the door locks are neatly fitted and you have a SUPER kart trailer to be proud of.

Re: Building a SUPER kart trailer.
Not a towing job for a small car or your average single kart racer. ;)
Don't forget to pay the premium rates at the M5 toll booth with them twin axles. :D

Thanks Sammy. 7 weeks start to finish, as well as other projects along the way.
You know I cater to everyone. I will make single kart, 2 kart and 4 kart trailers.
If your going racing, how about doing it in style.
Re: Building a SUPER kart trailer.
Bloody Hell Cookster, your taking way too many cigarette breaks.
Stocky and I started this on Saturday, will should have it finished by knock off time today, what's that 3 days?
This double kart + room for the kitchen sink features the M5 toll cheating single axle design.

Remember when you tried to made fun of my stick welding at Eastern Creek, so I went and had a look and yours and I nearly fell on my arse laughing. Talk about "The pot calling the kettle black" ;D
Re: Building a SUPER kart trailer.
We don't use that at the TDR research facility.

Mike,
'Horse Power' is so yesterday.
These days if you want your engine to fly you need 'Bird Power'.
So next time you eat chicken, consider that it's previous life could have been used to measure against Stocky's engines. Once they are put to sleep by exhaust fumes, they get sent to Steggles, that's what all the yellow crating in the background is for. ;)

The only thing is that birdshit stick welding it is just that but MIG can be a bit rough.
Mike. The mesh is not just for the inside but is also the new prefered covering for SZR. Something about aero behind the Sillycar and the hairdressers car not being able to pull a big covered trailer.
