Hallejah Brother kartbook is back on.
Like any good thing you only realise how good it was once it’s gone!
I hope it’s back on for good as there is a lot of information on this site from a lot of clever people over the years that looked like it was gone forever.
We are all going to have to spread the word that it’s back on as most people thought it had gone forever and let’s face it , this forum is the main source of information and also the best place for the Australian Karter to have there say and ask for help.
The International karters also seem to keep an eye on what’s happening in Aussie especially the ones across the Tasman!

Hi Mick,
I presume someone else has grabbed the DNS name for Kartbook and restored it's pointers to the ning hosting. The issue may come back when the ning subscription expires and we are left without access again.
As this has happened before I've got a better plan. I've registered the domain https://www.kartbook.net.au and am in the process of setting up hosting. Current content is being uploaded to the website to ensure we don't lose this again.
Additionally, I've used a different platform which will allow the karting community platform to be extended with more useful functions and integration in the future.
I'm hoping to improve on Kartbook without losing the valuable material of the past.
Cheers,
Allan.
Hi Allan
Its great to see that somebody has resurrected kartbook.
Sounds like you have a lot of knowledge into website stuff and I think a lot of people would be as great full as I would be to see our kartbook back on for good.
Myself like probably many haven’t given it a lot of thought before but does a Forum like this one have ongoing costs to keep it running?
I gather it was Col Fink that made this possible before but I see Col has moved onto a different career path now and gather he might not have much to do with karting anymore so is this why kartbook had stopped.
What happened to Kracer has that finished as well?
Looking forward to see what you can do for Kartbook in the future.
Cheers,
Mick
Hmm - looks like the old Kartbook went offline again for a few hours this morning, this time the webserver.wasn't responding.
Things are moving forward on the replacement https://www.kartbook.net.au and old basic content is now moved across - still some more work to do, but there's now an alternative.
