CAMS License

Can anyone take a guess at how long a new application takes? If put in now will it be finalised for the beginning of March so we can race at Wakefield. We can renew Drew's AKA license quickly and use that but as we won't run sprint this year it seems a waste.

Compulsory Scrutineering Day

Submitted by The Cook on Wed, 09/01/2008 - 19:03
The Victorian Superkart Club has organised a compulsory Scrutineering day at Nunawading Engine Clinic for Saturday the 19th of January.

According to the rules of Targeted Scrutineering “If it has been more than twelve months since the vehicle was last subject to Targeted Scrutiny, the vehicle will not be permitted onto the track until scrutiny has been performed. It may not be possible to check your vehicle at the Meeting before your first session, or even at all.”

The day runs from 9 AM until around 3 PM. There is a sausage sizzle happening as well.

Well here is a topic that is not controversial.....hopefully it will turn some readers into writers.

I've heard/read some people are making changes in 2008. Most of it centres around the 250 class.
(i) Well young Harpas has his Max gear for sale for a possible twin machine?
(ii) The 'Green Machine' has purchased and will be racing a twin machine.
(iii) I stand to be corrected but multiple 250 Single Champion Jason McIntyre will be running a twin machine.
(iv) This Forum Adminstrator will be running his twin machine.

After an absence in 2007, the Superkarts will be back at laguna Seca in 2008. This year they will be running with the American Le Mans series over 3 days.

This will no doubt be an international event once again. In previous years there have been competitors from all over the world, including England, Germany & Australia. From world motorbike champions to European & Australian Superkart champions - the competition will be fierce.

Wakefield Park re-surface

Looks like Wakefield Park has been resurfaced.

This is a top circuit for Superkarts now that it's been resurfaced with 100% viewing for spectators.
I would recommend any interstater to give it a try if you can. It will be worth it!!!!
