Wakefield Park Practice Day Saturday July 19

Submitted by Rotax 111 on Fri, 06/06/2008 - 19:45
The NSW Superkart Club has been invited to a practice day on Saturday July 19 at Wakefield Park. We'll be on every hour with at least 100-120 laps on offer. Wakefield will provide a few garages for free to aid us. We believe its a day that has those bring your car and run events, we're obviously on track by ourselves. You can practice on a CAMS, AKA licence. If you have NO licence, NO problem. A 12 month Wakefield permit is available for $60.00 that will allow entry to these days and ALSO the 2 meetings that we're holding there this year.

Drew and myself wish to thank the NSW superkart club for a great race meeting at OP this weekend. We had a few dramas with front tyres going mysteriously flat for no apparent reason and a DNS with a brand new dud plug. The help we received was greatly appreciated and we finally managed to get on the track and do 4 races. It is a shame it will be the last time SK's will compete on the GP circuit and possibly OP itself. Oh if anyone has a photo of Drew kicking the kart on the start line when the plug quit a copy of it would be great.

Thanks

I would just like to thank all those who competed in the OP event yesterday. We have been racing a long time in both sprint and SK and it is the best event we have competed in for us personally. Without the others it would not have occured so our thanks to all. I know it was a nothing event in the great scheme of things though anyone who hasn't run a Max on the south circuit at OP will have missed running on one of the great circuits for that class in Australia as I don't think it will happen again.
